After Texas hold’em, Omaha poker is the second best Poker game which attracts largest number of the people in the card games. Both the games are very similar to each other. The main difference between these two games is that in Omaha poker, players can choose his or her hand out of the nine cards instead of seven and this is the main reason behind growing popularity of Omaha poker.

In Omaha Poker, the player first posts the blind and then receives their hole cards. After getting the hole cards, betting round starts and then comes the ‘turn’, ‘flop’ and the ‘river’.

Another difference between Omaha and Texas Hold'em is that each of the players has to shape their hands out of precisely two hole cards and three board cards. In Texas Hold'em players can use either one or both the hole cards.

When a player is trying by winning from low hand, he must use two unpaired hole cards that should be ranked lower than eight and

other three board cards which are unpaired and ranked lower than eight.

Starting hands should be coordinated in Omaha, because of that cards can fit in together.

In Omaha Poker, there is a case where many new Omaha players falter. Suppose if players see four spades on the board, which are community cards and if one player has Ace of Spades in their hand, he thinks that other player has the nut flush. He or she forgets that a player must use two hole cards, therefore needing two spades in his hand to make a flush.
