7 – Card Stud
A standard 52-card deck is used for 7-card stud poker. It is best played between 5 to 7 players. The betting starts from $2 - $4 for newcomers while betting for regular players starts from $8-$16 and later reaches $10 -$20 as the player proficiency increases.Like the poker games, 7-car stud begins with the player to the dealer’s left. The dealer distributes 2 tiles faced down to each player and 1 tile faced up. The player who has the lowest door card starts betting. In case here is a tie, the suits break the tie. The suits are ordered this way: spade, heart, diamond and club.
The player who has the lowest door card begins the game. He starts with a bet that’s twice the amount of the ante. If this player refuses to bet, then he is forced to fold, after which the player to his left takes over. This event is called ‘ Third Street ’. During Third Street , every player maintains a low betting limit and another open card is distributed to the players. After this round, the ‘ Fourth Street ’ begins. The player with the upper card is always expected to start betting. However, the player is allowed to pass his turn if he is unwilling to bet. If the player does decide to bet, he has to bet on the lower limit (he can also bet on higher limit if he wishes). From here, the rest of the raises are decided. 2 similar rounds take place but the bets are now on higher limit. In the final round, the dealer deals another card that is face down, after which, and another round with higher betting begins.
The player with the best hand during the showdown is declared as the winner.
